24 Hours in Nashville

Hey y’all!

So this past weekend I had the pleasure of having one of my sweetest friends from college come visit.

Gracie and I only met our senior year, but quickly became close friends and I was SO excited when she made the decision to drive to Nashville a day early and stay with me.

We convinced our friend Julia to come out with us and it was the most fun night.

She arrived around 8pm on Friday night and we almost immediately grabbed an Uber to head to dinner – after having a drink. We mixed together Deep Eddy’s Lemonade Vodka and Cran-Raspberry La Croix and O.M.G. It was a fruity and light way to have a cocktail.

For dinner we grabbed a pitcher of margs and some yummy food at Saint Anejo. If you guys haven’t ever been, add it to you list for your next Nashville trip. It is part of the M Street restaurant collective and has such a cool and open atmosphere. I will say, it is 21 and up late at night, so this is a great spot for all of you who are of age.

After dinner we went to go grab a drink at the rooftop bar of The Thompson Hotel. The bar is called LA Jackson and is the most beautiful spot in the city. It overlooks the downtown skyline and is located in the Gulch, which is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Nashville. It was the perfect place to grab a drink before heading downtown.

After LA Jackson, we made our way down to Acme and Crazytown before heading home.

The next morning we decided a little hair of the dog that bit us was in order and headed to another favorite spot of mine – Clyde’s on Church. Clyde’s is a super cool bar in that its open and spacious and has ping pong tables and pool and large connect four and has a generally cool and laid-back vibe. Plus, Clyde’s has a great brunch special and we were able to veg out on $4 Bloody Mary’s and $3 mimosas!

After brunch, the three of us made the trek to the Nashville Farmer’s Market. If anyone wants us to redecorate your house, we got some seriously good ideas and found some amazing furniture.

Then, of course, it was time for an afternoon drink. We took Gracie down to the 12th South neighborhood, which is super cute and trendy. It has tons of little restaurants and bars and cute little stores scattered down the street. Of course we had to pop into Reese Witherspoon’s adorable store, Draper James, and grab a cupcake from the Sprinkles ATM before heading down to 12th South Taproom to grab a glass of rosé.

Our last stop was at my most favorite bar in all of Nashville – Greenhouse. Greenhouse is part of Food Company, which is an amazing restaurant, and has the coolest, most laid-back vibe. I had to take Gracie because of the Summertime Lemonade.

YALL, this drink is everything. It is a mixture of Tito’s Vodka, pink lemonade, and a splash of cranberry juice and, of course, is served in a mason jar. This drink is seriously so light and delicious. It is my go to place to take a friend or stop in for a happy hour and I always get this.

I had such a blast with Gracie and Julia and we are already planning our trip in June to go visit Gracie in Memphis, so keep an eye out for that post.

Hope y’all had an amazing and restful Memorial Day. It was a great weekend and such a good reminder of all of those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
