Super Bowl week continues with a vegetarian option to chicken wings.
At this point you can probably tell that I LOVE all things spicy and savory and these cauliflower bites are no exception AND they are a healthy alternative to the real thing, so it’s a win win.
My college friend, Ally Rose, introduced this recipe to me because her sister, Angela, made her a super simple recipe book for young professionals. Genius, right?
Without further ado, here they are!
What You’ll Need:
1 head of cauliflower
3/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
What You’ll Do:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F and spread olive oil on a baking sheet.
2. Mix garlic, salt, pepper, melted butter, and hot sauce together in a bowl.
3. Cut cauliflower into bit size florets and add to hot sauce mixture. Mix until well combined.
4. Spread cauliflower onto a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
What You’ll Need to Know:
This stuff is addictive, truly. Everyone in my family loved it and ate it up super quickly. If you’re running low on time, Angela suggests throwing everything into a Ziploc bag and shaking it all up. Another hack would be to go ahead and buy pre-chopped cauliflower from Trader Joe’s like I did. It keeps you from having to chop things up and waste that time. I also recommend placing the cauliflower on broil for about a minute just to brown the top. For a dipping sauce we took some non-fat plain yogurt and mix in some ranch seasoning. It made a nice ranch dip that was super low in fat and high in protein and tasted just like the real stuff.
Let me know if you guys try these.
