Kimpton Hotels

Hey y’all!

Today is going to be a continuation of my never-ending DC travel diary and the amazing hotel where we stayed – the Kimpton!

My mom has been a ‘Kimpton Karma Rewards’ member for years and has raved on and on about them, but I had never had the privilege to stay in one until a few weeks ago when she moved me up to DC.

The cool thing about Kimpton Hotels is that each one has a unique theme. There just so happen to be 10 different locations of the boutique hotel chain in the DC area, which meant we had a lot of options to choose from.

For this trip we chose the Mason & Rook Hotel, which is conveniently located just outside the hustle and bustle of Downtown DC in Logan Circle.

The Mason & Rook opened about six months ago in March and boasts a beautiful rooftop pool and bar, onsite fitness, a restaurant, and a variety of other perks.

A unique thing that the Kimpton does in every one of their hotels is host a wine hour every evening. The wine hour was perfect for our long days of moving me in and exploring the city. And seriously, who doesn’t love a free glass of vino?

One night we ordered drinks from the hotel’s restaurant, the Radiator, and it might have been the best grapefruit + Titos I have ever had.

What I loved about my stay at the Kimpton, besides the SUPER luxurious beds, was how accommodating the staff is. They are seriously so nice and helpful. My mom forgot her phone charger and they made sure that she had one within 10 minutes, free of charge.

Kimpton Hotels are also pet friendly and have water and food bowls at the door for your pup!

The room itself was super spacious and accommodated all of our belongings easily. My love of neutrals paired with metallic finishes was achieved with the coolest gallery walls in both the bedroom and bathroom. And the marble was absolutely to die for.

I seriously cannot recommend this hotel chain enough. The service, unique experiences and value are unmatched and you will not be disappointed.
