Game Day Outfits

Hey y’all!

If you’re like me, you are a HUGE football fan. Saturdays in the South are a BIG deal.

Tomorrow my alma mater (Go Vols!!!!) has their first game of the 2016-2017 season and I am beyond bummed that I will be missing the entire football season.

Today though I am including some of my FAVORITE game day looks and ways to spice things up.

(Sidenote: 3 guesses of who I went to all of the football games with last season 😉 )

Look One: The Jersey11947675_10153185672308087_598613495961393498_n

This look is definitely the most easy and the best for those first few games when it is brutally hot outside. A jersey is great because the fabric is super breathable and all of us would wear it oversized to give you lots of room. I usually paired my jersey with my most beloved Free People shorts (#rip). Also, as you will soon see my GO TO sunglasses for game day were these awesome blue – ombre aviators from Ray-Ban. Also, because most university’s have a restriction on purse sizes I would usually use a smaller one. Here is a similar purse to the one I carried.

Look Two: A Tank

I am very cold by nature so during night games in the hot months I would pair an orange tank with jeans. The jeans kept my legs warm, but the tank still provided enough breatability so I wouldn’t absolutely melt during the brutal Knoxville humidity. In all honesty my tank is much older than I would like to admit, but I am including some cute options. Here are a few tanks I am obsessed with – a cute fringe number, a split back tank, and an adorable orange and white option.  Though the jeans are not visible in this photo, these Ann Taylor Ankle Jeans are my absolute favorite!

Look 3: The LBD

A little black dress is perfect for away games or bigger events like Homecoming. I wore this particular outfit to an away game at the  University of Alabama and didn’t want to be ‘in your face orange.’ This black dress is a staple in my wardrobe. Seriously nothing is more flattering or versatile than a t-shirt dress. I added a fun vest (this one is similar) that added a little bit of warmth and flare to my otherwise basic outfit. The shoes that I wore most during football season were black booties that had a low heel. These booties gave me a little length, slimmed out my legs and were super comfortable. To add a little bit of orange to my outfit I paired it with this adorable orange and white bag that I got from a local boutique in Nashville. I am seriously obsessed with this one.

Tip: Another fun way to dress up a basic outfit is with a fun lipstick. A few years ago MAC had a collection that contained a bright orange color called ‘sail la vie,’ this lipstick is a great dupe and is an awesome way to funk things up.

I hope that everyone has a GREAT football season and I will be cheering my beloved Vols on in spirit.
