So BIG life things are happening and I am finally ready (and able) to let you in on everything.
About two weeks ago I accepted an intern position in DC and will be moving there in less than two weeks for the next four months!
I am equal parts excited and petrified and trust me I will be doing lots of posts over the next few weeks on how I am preparing to move and tips and tricks to make things easier.
Sadly, with this big change means change in the blog. I will be continuing, because duh, but I am not sure of my regularity in posting so I will be switching over to a twice a week format. I am hoping to post more than that but don’t want to promise more than I can during this huge transitional time.
Next week’s post will have more information about what I’m doing and how I came to the decision to bite the bullet and move.
BUT enough of that. This week I have been on my ‘goodbye tour of Nashville.’ Kidding, but I am trying to squeeze in as much time with my friends as humanly possible before I leave.
Thursday was no exception. I met up with one of my dearest college friends (hey Jules!) and we ventured down to the 12th South neighborhood.
12th South is one of my FAVORITE areas of Nashville because of its laid-back and hip vibe.
We went to one of my favorite locales, the 12th South Taproom, for beers and dinner. I had a BLT with avocado and some of the BEST brussels sprouts.
For Thursday’s look I wanted to go with something that was both comfortable and put together.
I recently popped into Old Navy on a whim and picked up this tank (in multiple colors) on sale for only $10. This tank is awesome because it hangs really nicely with jeans but is also flowy and breathable.
I paired the tank with my absolute favorite jeans from Ann Taylor. Seriously, y’all I have these in black, blue and white and I cannot get enough of them. They sit a little higher on the hip and really suck you in and create a long, lean line.
The flats are from Target and are super cute. They are blue and white stripped and add such a fun and summery touch to all of my favorite outfits. Disclaimer, though, they are not that comfortable.
Finally, I topped off the outfit with my most beloved Ray-Ban aviators that are gold with a light blue ombre/gradient and Rebecca Minkoff Mab Tote Mini. Y’all I seriously care this bag with every outfit. It is so cute and holds all of my necessities without letting me clutter up my bag too much.
This outfit is super comfortable and laid back but it made me look like I was put together. I am all about mixing high end pieces with some of my more affordable options and this outfit is living proof!
Talk to y’all Tuesday!
